The Rival 3 thankfully, manages to meet both of those aspects, with relative ease and even with significant use, there was only really one thing I wanted changed on it, but enough about that, let us get into it.įorm, the shape of something is crucial to anything we use with a computer, but a mouse it is perhaps just slightly more than function, the Rival 3 has a solid form.

There are two critical parts to any mouse, form and function, basically how it looks and feels, combined with how it works, if one area fails, the mouse as a whole fails, it is pretty straight forward, there is no point having a mouse that looks amazing, but only has the ability to light up.

In the past I have not reviewed a lot of mice, because they are mice and honestly how much can you really say about them, but I have started to think more, prior to getting the Rival 3, about what makes a good mouse and when the Rival 3 did show up, I decided to put my thoughts to the test. So yes, If you are in the market for a new mechanical keyboard under Rs 3,000 and don’t mind the 68 key size, the Portronics Hydra 10 could be an ideal choice.Gaming hardware has been making leaps and bounds over the past few years, for a while there, almost every mouse had to be wireless, but then the trend changed, and we went back to corded. For feedback, I’d like Portronics to build upon this and perhaps offer a full size mechanical keyboard-with the choice of switch type and even introduce fun keycaps-with good font work. Not only is it a really good gaming keyboard, the typing experience on it is what truly separates it from the rest of the offerings under Rs 8,000. On retail channels like Amazon, I’ve seen the price hovering between Rs 2,800-3,000, and for that money, there are few keyboards, if any, that come close to what Portronics is offering with the Hydra 10.

Let me put it this way-if a brand like Logitech were to release a 67% keyboard, which has such features and quality, I wouldn’t expect its price any less than Rs 10,000 and that is saying something! Overall, using the keyboard has been a joy and I was honestly, quite surprised the first time I used the product.
